It's Not Credible News if It's Not from a Large MSM Source, Yeah Right!

I run a small simple news site "Syria News" focused mostly on my country Syria and been doing so for the past 10 years or more, I came forward due to the lack of credible news been reported in English from Syria and decided on this journey after seeing the massive sheer of lies the western mainstream media was emitting.

I'm not a journalist, never was one, never dreamt of being a journalist or a reporter, it's totally the opposite of my work, I am definitely not a Pulitzer Prize winner, and never thought of achieving anything further than letting the Syrian voices get heard abroad and getting the real narrative out, we've all seen the mainstream media, mainly the 'most esteemed' ones of them how they lied about the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction and never argued the Pentagon narrative, then with simple research discovered that they did the same with every Pentagon's military adventure abroad.

Officials in other countries however criminal and ruthless dictators they are, they are praised by the western MSM, their people who protest against them are the evil ones and largely neglected - Yellow Vests in France send their regards here, while the officials who do not bow to the Pentagon's will, the Pentagon being the beating hand of the 'establishment' that drives from the back seat in the West, those officials who seek independence for their countries are always demonized, their governments are called regimes, they don't have governments or institutions: it's Putin running all of Russia, it's the Bashar Assad regime in Syria and it's Assad forces when talking about the Syrian Arab Army which comprises of mostly conscripts from all over the country, and Fidel Castro is bad and the CIA must be praised for attempting to kill him 600 times! Imagine the intelligence agencies of another country plotting to kill your president!

In almost every post I share online from my site I get the usual replies: This is not a credible source, you're an Assad apologist as if that's something bad to start with, they decided he's bad based on the reports they saw in their 'credible' media, well, I gift you the Christopher Steele saga and his dossier:

In Washington Post, losing faith in Journalism

Washington Post, one of the US leading newspapers enriches its audience with very strong material, very strong that the readers would be in a state of mind after reading its articles to jump off cliffs.. Wait, I'm not exaggerating, just read the article appearing today under title: In Damascus, losing faith in Assad, then come back here to read this short comment, this might help you avoid jumping off the cliff:

I always love to read WP articles about Syria, it's very informative and with evidence: A guy on the street said the people hate the regime, he didn't give his name, while another guy who is 62 years to be precise, not in his 60s, most probably he's an Aries as well, he owns 4 houses in Damascus but can't stay in any, he's staying now in?!?! Anyways, while a 30 year old man doesn't feel loyal anymore, even thought he used to serve the government in shocking protesters with electric prods which none of the entire mainstream media showed any of the Syrian govt servants do in any of the protests, because the protesters were shelled at with tanks, remember? I think you forgot reports like 'peaceful protesters' in Daraa in the south of Syria were shelled by Syrian army tanks indiscriminately causing 4 protesters to be slightly wounded in Idleb, north of Syria.. and such stuff.

I remember one report posted here by a lady called Liz Sly, that's her real name for some reason, and she writes here often, she went to Hama to locate 900,000 protesters who took to the streets a week earlier and she wrote: "the city is beautiful, lots of trees on the sides of the roads, everything is calm but you can feel the revolt in hidden feelings, a lady, she refused to give her name out of fear of consequences, said the people here are all against the regime, while Mohammad, a street vendor said he will revolt against the regime if he gets the chance.. otherwise, the city looks quiet and clean", and no, she didn't find the 900,000 protesters or any of them, they were protesting with their feelings, maybe.

This report however is written by a 'Special Correspondent' if you noticed.

If it was a 'public uprising' then it was put down by another overwhelming 'public', or by a brutal army of 500,000 personnel coming from 23 million people, not to add Baath party members of 2.8 million plus those in the parliament, government, security, police and of course their families..., or the 'public uprising' wasn't public after all, you choose.

Hasn't Washington Post itself report of influx of thousands of AlQaeda fighters into Syria with the help of Turkey, Jordan and parties in Lebanon all stooges to the USA? Or such reports don't count, it's a 62 year old man the 'Special Correspondent' met on the street, and a 30 year old former protesters shocker stories stand?

They fool you, they keep fooling you and they enjoy fooling you, not because they're smart, it's because you're 'foolable'.

Washington Post the Warmongering Newspaper

The Washington Post, and of course other NATO aligned media are at it again, they know the weak-point of Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan and they're pushing on his nerves to make him retaliate for the latest slap on the face he received from a Syrian soldier defending his country and downing one of Turkish fighter jets violating the Syrian territories, sea or land.

It's a right for any country to preserve its sovereignty and its territorial space by all means, those violating the space, land or sea of any sovereign country are violating international law and asking for a war or least a conflict. No country will tolerate any such stunt by any other country, not even friendly countries at peace time, how about hostile countries at conflict times?

Yesterday, a squadron of NATO member state Turkey violated the Syrian territorial space, coming from the coast to the west at high speeds and low height, testing as it seems, the air defense reaction of the Syrians, the response was swift and at least one attacking plane was downed using merely a machine-gun. Some eyewitnesses reports spoke of 3 or more attacking airplanes where 2 of them were hit, one downed in the sea and the other on land and both inside Syrian territories, while the 3rd was allowed to leave. One of the downed planes seems to be an F16 which crashed later near Kassab, north of Syria before the border line with Turkey, the other an F4 crashed in sea opposite Ras Bassit coast north of Lattakia. Reports of at least 2 pilots captured were also filling the social media based on local residents testimonies.

It is very known that Syrian diplomacy speeds to downgrade any such stunt to defuse any possibility of a war, because Syrians experienced wars and know what cost such wars have, however, the respond yesterday showed that soldiers in Syrian air-defense had orders not to tolerate any invasion, however, the Syrian official statement spoke of one plane only downed and not much in details.

The Syrian official statement gave an exit to the Turkish leadership out of the embarrassment by stating an un-identified airplane violating Syrian territorial space and was downed, but NATO media instead of using this as an advantage don't work to promote peace, it works in the other direction, and the following article in Washington Post is one of the examples:

Well, I wrote a comment there which at the time of writing this blog didn't see it posted, so I copy it here again: 

I'm sorry, but the warmongering policy of this paper seems not working and should take another approach if it wants to retain any credibility.

What is obvious in the statement of Turkish officials is their regret and sorrow and not their threats and arrogance: 

“will make its final position known once the evidence is fully uncovered and will determinedly take necessary steps.” <= That seems only they'll wait investigation results to absorb the Syrian reaction, figure out what 'went wrong' and 'take necessary steps' not to be repeated.

I know what anti-Syrian stance most of the journos at this newspaper have, but this is becoming so ridiculous, so blatant and so disgraceful. Wars cost lives, if you don't think so go and visit Arlington and see for yourselves when you invade other countries what happens. Then think of those civilians slaughtered in the countries you invade. Add to that the fact of the 'Turning Point' in international relations when the first Double Veto was used against NATO intervention (UN Humanitarian Intervention) in Syria. Even the USA & allies didn't realize what happened and had to try again after 4 months and got the same reply. Game Over Guys. Now you don't invade and get away with minor losses, the other camp is very much eager to payback the last decades criminality the west imposed on the world, they're very much ready more than the westerns, and have all necessary tools, manpower and money to pay back. And remember, Payback is bitch.

Next war, God forbid, will see Western cities targeted at its hearts, and for what? For exporting democracy you lack at home? Before the crisis in Syria started, 16 months ago, Syria, a country of 23 million citizens had 11 political parties represented in the Parliament and those with majority were represented in the cabinet, now there are 19 political parties. How many parties are there in the USA, the country of 320 million citizens? So stop the foolish stunt it won't do you any good, and people realized the crimes you commit in the name of humanity.

As for WP: it's just one of their pathetic attempts to shape the events overseas to the benefits of the military industry and bankers lobbies. Just a sham.

NATO Still Trying to Demonize Assad to Justify Destroying Syria

The US Embassy in Damascus today linked an article of the Washington Post that starts the next step in their plan to demonize the Syrian Government and namely the president Bashar Al-Assad in order to legitimize targeting him to facilitate the intervention in the name of humanity.

The article itself quotes the UN Commissionaire of the Human Rights Navi Pillay claiming security killing civilians and such lies based on not a single evidence except alleged reports by opposition figures backed by the US & other NATO member states!!

This is what I replied there:

Libya 2.0, Iraq 3.0, Panama 4.0, Nicaragua 5.0, Somalia 5.2, Vietnam 45.3..  
This is a very good article but would be better presented by a US Secretary of State at the UN Security Council, similar to the one presented by Collin Powell claiming there are WMDs in Iraq, still to be found after the US humiliating defeat in Iraq, which crazy Obama called it a success (read my piece on that: democratic-syria.blogspot.com/2011/12/war-on-iraq-success-crazy-obama.html). 

But wait, Russia is returning to the international scene and who's that there also? that huge giant sleeping for so long that have used a veto at the UN, oh yeah, CHINA, well, actually a very rare double veto by two countries not one, and guess which two: Russia & China the new leaders of the world with power and economy, let's not forget that USA is in its worst days till now economical with a huge public debt, 1.2 million US families lost homes in last year while China is placing reserves abroad and lending money to others, and Russia as well coming very back very powerful. Bye Bye to the losing states, you can warmonger no more.. Your lies before led to catastrophes in the past and that would not happen again. 


President Assad himself asked "Who says that the UN is a credible organization"? Then he reminded the ABC journalist in the famous interview of so many times the UN was biased in our region, the Middle East, so we have all reasons not to trust it, and he added: "it runs through generations". By the way, the same famous interview which was totally distorted by the 'credible, trustworthy' News channel the ABC and only showed the original non-distorted interview when it found out that the Syrians had the full interview on tape and aired some of it during a press conference of the Syrian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson in a conference showing other news houses the distortion of all the answers of president Assad. Ironically, president Assad in the same interview replied to the presenter that media is distorted when passed to your people, yet they simply twisted all answers, edited to their comfort or let's say to serve the ultimate goal of demonizing Assad in order to justify his killing, remember Gaddafi when he suddenly became a legitimate target for NATO warplanes just a few months after he was NATO heads personal friend?! 


Same goes for international observers, we all remember Hans Blix and his famous report denying existence of WMDs in Iraq, yet his report was manipulated, his colleagues were actually a collection of spies to define targets for bombardment later, and he was forced to resign..  


The only crazy and real demons are the guys running the corrupt west world starting with US administration to Congress to all those 1% oppressing the 99%, and their allies in UK, France and Turkey to start with, and these people should be brought to justice ASAP before committing further crimes in the name of humanity killing more humans.

Washington Post Outdoes itself Once Again and We Reply

Our comment on an article in Washington Post fabricating lies about the situation in Syria:

"I have some sad news for you, first of all, the so called doctors treating the wounded were discovered to be foreign doctors who speak broken Arabic and use tools that has nothing to do with stitching wounds rather excavation of organs.. I'll give you the video if someone is interested.

And as for clashes with 'defected' soldiers, from the first day of events security officers reported armed gangs from Dara to Baniyas to Tal Kalakh, before even the army knew what's going on, and since then mainstream media like your own ignored and ridiculed this info stating they were 'Peaceful Protesters' and we from then ridiculed your medium whenever you mentioned that phrase, ie 'Peaceful Protesters' because such Peaceful Protesters don't torch govt buildings and don't shoot at police officers.

The pretext of 'Freedom Fighters' was supposed to be introduced when the massacre of Jisr Al Shougur happened and their base was supposed to be sponsored by Turkey inside Syrian territories and failed, so don't sell us the BS of army defectors now after 8 months of riots all over the country and only 3 officers defected without their units and about 6 or 7 soldiers runaways.. That's not a defection, if you insist on calling it so, you better learn Journalism and then specialize in war reporting.

And like it or not, as a Syrian like me I totally support the govt decision of banning foreign media, like yours, from entering Syria because only by this they're able to save the truth from being twisted, we saw how unbiased and credible you were in reporting Libya events, especially the infamous story of the capture of Gaddafi sons and the killing of others.

Either you report credible and confirmed news or refrain from reporting at all instead of reporting lies or creating news.. I suggest you give some attention to your own people lacking 'Democracy' under a 'Republic' rule where 2 parties only control the lives and destinies of 320 Million US citizens.. Cover Occupy Wall Street Demonstrations with half of your time and effort and your Obama's Administration will collapse in 2 days."

A Reporter Somehow Managed to Get Syria's Name inserted in the Alleged Iranian Plot

A strange trend taking place with some 'journalists' since the invention of so called 'Activists', now a street vendor can be interviewed to get his views on countries' relations and to weigh in on bigger issues.


Yesterday and out of their old books, US regime smartest officials came to the public with an allegation that Iran has plotted to kill the Saudi ambassador in Washington using a second hand car dealer, fake check and a Mexican drug cartel gangsters, most analysts found it difficult to digest, some labeled it a 'Hollywood Thriller', and some even described it as a 'police story'.. However, some built on it just to get Syria's name in the story no matter how, and here's what we replied to one of their vuvuzelas: 


Honestly, I don't see how such a reporter gets to write for The Washington Post let alone FP!

A vendor on the streets doesn't give a proper analyses or credible comments on an issue at a level of countries relations, maximum can be quoted telling a story he witnessed himself, unless the journalist who wrote this piece didn't get any analyst to comment on the issue for her.. Same dull practice she uses to twist facts coming from Syria to fit in the Libya scenario, ie oppressing regime against peaceful protestersdemanding basic needs as food & health.. BS.

US officials are finding it very difficult to convince themselves with the alleged plot! Even if we assume there's some reality in the 'plot', what would Iran benefit or achieve in case the 'plot' succeeds?! Wouldn't it be more realistic if US officials claimed the target would be the Israeli ambassador or a high level attaché at the Israeli embassy or a prominent AIPAC member if we take the story that it was in retaliation to the killings of Iranian nuclear scientists?!

Long gone the strategists planning foreign policies of the USA & long gone the diplomats carrying it out, now all there are blind, arrogant, racist, neo-conservatives who are the same people behind making a fool of former secretary of state Collin Powell at the UNSC showing 'evidence' of WMDs in Iraq just to justify wars serving the ultimate goal of Zionism in the Middle East.

Wake up Americans, they're using your money to destroy you & others in your name while in the meantime they strip you of your basics one after another; ask NY governor about the new tax ammendment that will prevent the govt from placing taxes on mega fortunes depriving the treasury from $5 billion a year of returns supposed to be covered by the poor to maintain the sh*tty living standards they have now or facing cuts even in that!

Are you surprised? Well you should be surprised if you believed your top politicians care about you as a US Citizen and US Tax Payer.. Honestly, they don't, but that doesn't mean they don't have feelings, no, on the contrary, they have a lot of feelings of care and humanity but not to you as an American Citizen working your a** out every day during your life to be deprived your essential rights when you dearly need it, they do care for another nation that helps put them in office, the nation that despite all of its almost daily outrageous and heinous crimes against humanity, your leaders help with $8.2 Million in form of Military Aid Each DAY.

Do you know where is israel? No, it's not a one of the 50 federated states that combine the USA, and no it's not anywhere near the USA shores, and no it doesn't have a single benefit to the US Tax payers as it doesn't contribute at all in the income or well being of US citizens, on the contrary, it spies on US companies, military (Johnathan Bollard for example) and even on US officials! Shocked? You shouldn't be, because you pay that money, the US govt asks you to declare each cent you earn and pay tax on it, but did you bother to know where that money is going? By the way, israel doesn't help in the continuation of oil supply, it's US bases in the Arabian (Persian) Gulf and elsewhere, costs paid by you, again.


The only benefit israel adds to the USA is adding enemies by the day to your children, by committing vicious atrocities using all types of prohibited weapons against unarmed, unprotected civilians after uprooting half of them from their lands, importing its entire citizens from countries worldwide!! 


Don't feel upset if you hear hate speech against America worldwide, and it's on the rise, you are paying for it, you kill their relatives, your airplanes drop bombs on their villages and cities so don't expect them to love you afterwards. With your money you turned America into a disgrace on the planet from the pride of the planet in times of the last century, and that's just for the sake of a foreign state that is called israel.

Taliban Celebrates 9/11 in Its Own Way

I wonder when they say only injuries and not life threatening does that mean losing a limb, partial or total paralyzing, life-time psychiatric shock and other long lasting effects?


Sorry to say guys but those who occupy a foreign country deserve much more than this, your troops entered Afghanistan based on a lie, Your country created Taliban and Al Qaeda, supported, trained, financed and even equipped them, and it would be very naive to think that a caveman can send pilots into the USA to precisely attack 2 iconic buildings and to coincide with an evil plan to collapse a 3rd tower (no. 7) at the same time, and the coincidence becomes more outstanding when we know that the owner of the 3rd tower No. 7 is linked somehow to the strongest lobbying group in the United States with external links to a foreign country, an ally that keeps spying on USA, benefits from Billions of US Tax Payer's hard earned Dollars when they themselves need it more, the same country has a criminal gang that is specialized in dramatic mysterious crimes everywhere on Earth..!!


Anyways, the so called 'War on Terror' turned out to be 'The War for Terror' with the killings of millions of Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia (by an American designed Famine), Yemen, now Libya.. This only creates more enemies for your people, put on your hands more blood of innocent people, waste your earnings and deprive you from the welfare, healthcare and education you deserve.


Nobody appointed the USA as the world's Sheriff and nobody appreciate any of its meddling everywhere except one single state on this planet.. Guess which one; if you can't make a guess combine it with paragraph 2 above, in case if you still cannot make the guess I'll give you a hint: It's the only state on this planet that is based on religion (racism) instead of citizenship.. still no clue? NY Times Do Not Understand Why Not Everybody Rioting Against Govt in Syria

Why don't you just commit that you made a mistake in characterizing the situation in Syria and implying your desired domino image that took place in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen on Syria?


Facts: Damascus population exceeds 5 Million, Aleppo more than 6 million, both combined over 9 Million, if you take in consideration that Syria's population is merely 23 million, you can see that roughly half of the population and not a single protest, comic protests you saw on YouTube videos claiming to be in Damascus were done by people coming to the capitol and rioting near a landmark for 5 to 10 minutes max then dispersing by themselves, other effects are added later like multiplying the numbers, the sound of heavy bullets.. etc., your evidence that these were added later is that when you heavily shoot at unarmed protests with a shoot to kill policy, barely anyone will make it alive, not all of them unharmed!!


Other cities like Latakkia, Tartous, Jableh saw very tiny protests not exceeding 20 in each in remote streets.


The infamous events took place in: Hama, Homs (still), Idlib & its suburb in Jisr Al Shoghour, Der Ezzor and Bu Kamal. Talkalakh and Baniyas two small towns in Homs and Tartous respectively, will explain why below but first:


The following cities didn't see a single protester, yes not a single protester and each one is a provincial center: Suwaida, Rigga, Hasaka, Qunaitara!


If you take in consideration that Homs and its smaller city Talkalakh, Idlib and its smaller city Jisr, Baniyas, Der Ezzor and its smaller city Bukamal are all corner border cities gives you an indication who is really protesting, I'll try to explain further.


Any border city would be having smugglers, smugglers would be armed, armed smugglers don't respect law and further they attack whomever threaten their business, including security.


Armed smugglers can smuggle anything, in Syria due to its geographical position and the fact that many items are subsidized in Syria by the govt, armed smugglers specialize in: out of Syria: bread, fuel oil, cooking gas cylinders, money, Syrian made medicine, antiques... Into Syria: cigarettes, electronic items, individual weapons.. Transit through Syria: Drugs mainly to Arabian Gulf and other stuff.


Such smugglers obviously nothing will stop them, if you remember the border towns I mentioned above, during the period of 2 weeks to 1 month prior to the events kickoff in Syria 15th March, 2011, smugglers added few items to their profession: high tech communication routers that authorities found it works on the shadowy internet the US mob called CIA created to destabilize countries, Al Thoraya Satellite 'very costly' telephones that doesn't go through national communication system, heavy machine guns, and a chemical agent to be mixed with water and sprayed on protesters to hallucinate them as obvious here in this Hama.


It's not a coincidence that Condaliza Rice talks about a creative chaos in the Middle East, her team after she left are exactly the same and the one handling the MENA region Jeffery Filtman is the man for this job, and no coincidence George W, his father & his successor Obama promotes a new world order NWO (check this video and don't be surprised), it's no coincidence that Mainstream Media channels, mostly owned by Murdoch, and the others, well, you figure it, all the main channels are teamed up to tell the exact same story copying from each other in a loop till the point that you can't find the real source because each one refers to the other, and a confession of one of the Syria opposition riots instigators confess that the Pan Arab News House Al Jazeera helped him, trained him and supplied him with devices to transmit the events live or almost live as it happens months before the events kicked off, no coincidence that out of a sudden tens of 'Activists' and Human Rights Organization pop up and all specialized in Syria... and the list goes on.


In regards with HRO (Human Rights Organizations) it was found that most of these so called organizations are nothing more than a kiosk of mostly a one man show (London based Syrian Observatory, a man and his son (a fugitive Muslim Brotherhood member and his son in Stockholm), 3 HROs in one family (in Cairo a father, a mother and a son each has his or her own HRO!)... All surprisingly have direct connections with CIA, USA State Dept, and many met israeli officials (Syria & israel are in a state of war, so meeting an official from one country is considered a treason in the other).


It's not a coincidence also that US Dept of State, out of the US Citizen's Taxes finance such opposition figures with few millions of Dollars (see this report) just to create chaos in other countries that don't accept the hegemony of the neoconservatives in control of the USA, and their New World Order that puts bankers (of course you know who control banks) in charge of the world.


Just looking in the near past we see how USA and its NATO allies worked and still working hard to spread democracy and freedom for oppressed people, and from those who benefited we can name: Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia.. add Libya now..


Just want to tell my US readers: You are contributing in the killings of civilians by financing such devilish schemes, nobody appointed your country as the World's Sheriff, nobody is grateful except a few of smugglers and criminals who benefit from your hard earned money, you are only creating hatred and more enemies to you, your country and your children.

Our Comments on a Report by Liz Sly of Washington Post re SyriaM

Sorry reporter, but can you prove a single info of above? I have friends in Midan, South of Damascus (not central) who reported that nobody came out yesterday (Friday) after noon prayers or till today morning & they spent the evening in a packed restaurant in the same suburb.

Don't you find it a bit odd that there'se no proof to allegations of Muslim Brotherhood criminal opposition figures living in London for such protests, or fire opening?

If you want to claim that you need to depend on one side for information, and that one side is a collection of few fugitives wanted for crimes they committed in their own country then that's extremely pathetic & unprofessional, not being able to report from inside the country doesn't give you excuse to spread unverifiable information in a repetition to the pre Iraqi invasion scenario of WMDs that they are still looking for after 8 years of destroying the country, killing a million of its people, displacing over 3 million & sending the country decades back in the past. Learn from your previous experiences.

We replied to a reader (user ID Greenland2) directly who apparently is moved by reports of mainstream media coverage of the events of Syria, we tried to give him/ her a lead to analyze:


Greenlands, what do you know about what's happening in Syria? Watching some mainstream media doesn't make you abreast with the situation on ground especially when your MSMs are not reporting from inside the country.. Can you just sit, forget what you see, remember when we saw trucks moving across Iraq loaded with WMDs?, forget what you see for a minute and analyze: a country pictured in MSMs that it's under civil war, over 2,000 peaceful protesters were killed by the regime and '000 protesting daily, yet after 5 months not a single official, diplomat, army officer, a local municipal mayor DEFECTS?! who knows more? You sitting abroad watching mainstream media channel that don't attract viewers if they don't show blood or the Syrian people?

If you think they are afraid then read the article again, written from Beirut, Lebanon, not Syria, the helpless peaceful protesters broke the fear barrier & the powerful officials, even who is living abroad like diplomats still fear?! Wake up for God sake, did you see Obama kick the door after the conference? Do you know how to use digital software to clone and multiply crowds? How about the shaky footages broadcasted? Can't you manipulate it? How many reports from Syria were proved not in Syria? Ask Reuters how many videos they had to retract keeping in mind that Reuters reporter on Syria is a Jordaniam living in Amman!

Who knows better? You, or the Syrian people?
