Syria Slams the USA for Blocking the Delivery of Earthquake Aid

As the Syrian people suffer from the major earthquake that struck northern Syria and southern Turkey, thousands of people are still under the rubble in freezing cold weather conditions, the US and European official continue their inhumane criminal blockade over the country and at the same time lie that humanitarian aid is exempted in their illegal sanction, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs exposed those war criminal liars.

Syria earthquake

A statement issued by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called out the lies of the US officials and their European minions in regard to the earthquake and humanitarian relief aid to Syria, the statement explained how digging machinery to locate people under the rubble is not allowed to be sent to Syria despite western claims otherwise.

Yes, there are clauses exempting humanitarian aid in the US and European Union's illegal sanctions against Syria, and its main Caesar Act regime of sanctions, the measures implemented by the other clauses in these regimes of sanctions make it impossible for 3rd countries who still have ties with the west to transact with Syria, including sending humanitarian aid.

The sanctions block any transactions between banks in any country and Syrian banks, the same with other financial businesses, airplanes are not allowed to fuel if their destination is Syria, and sanctions are instantly imposed on airlines that do trips to Syria.

Medicine is exempted from the US and EU blockade and sanctions on Syria but the means to deliver it are not, food is exempted from the US and EU blockade and sanctions on Syria, but there's no way to deliver those to Syria without transacting with western-controlled banks, insurance companies that insure airplanes and ships, exporters are not allowed to export to Syria out of the fear of ending up in prison in the Western 'free world' and Josep Borrell's 'garden' which they built by invading other countries and plundering their wealth.

"US officials can lie, but it is the pictures from the affected areas in Aleppo, Latakia, and Hama that reveal the truth, and the Syrians are facing their catastrophe with strength, steadfastness, and success despite all these sanctions."
Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement.

Hundreds Killed, Thousands Injured in Major Earthquakes striking Syria and Turkey

The toll continues to rise from the major two earthquakes and their aftershock tremors that struck the border region between Syria and Turkey just before dawn today 06 February 2023, the numbers are in thousands killed, injured, and missing under the rubble.

Natural Disaster in Syria: 237 Killed, 639 Injured in Major Earthquakes

I received a phone call from a frightened relative as I was trying to sleep late at night, it was "Everybody is on the streets, the buildings are shaking.. it's an earthquake.."

It was before 5 am Damascus local time, my relatives live on a higher floor in a 9-floors building in the suburb of Damascus, then social media started flooding with messages, everyone is checking on everyone else.

Syrians are used to their buildings shaking from Israeli repeated bombing giving a hand to ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists in their massacres across the country, this is something very different, the entire buildings were swinging, my relative tried to explain how the furniture was moving from one side to the other in the rooms.

Two consecutive major earthquakes at 10 kilometers depth, the first of 7.5 - 7.9 degrees on the Richter scale, depending on the source, and the second recorded 5.5 degrees, at the same depth, the epicenter is in the northeast of Gazientap, a Syrian city in Kilikia under the Turkish rule.

The tremors shook all of Syria, were felt in the Jordanian capital Amman, the Iraqi capital Baghdad and reports of people feeling it in Cyprus, Greece and southern Italy, they were mostly felt in the Syrian provinces of Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia, and Hama, and many buildings started collapsing burying and trapping hundreds of people under their rubble.

Syria called on a country-wide mobilization of all able individuals and for all public and private entities to help, Syrian President Assad held an urgent meeting with the full cabinet in the early morning hours and the army was dispatched to help in the relief efforts along with the Civil Defense, the Red Crescent, all the cadres of the ministries of Health, Social Affairs, Interior (police and security), the Students Union, and everybody else.

In the past 2.5 years, I've been warning of earthquakes, it was coming as minor quakes, the warnings are based on a study by the former director of Syria's National Geology Org back in November 2000 titled: Syria Enters the Earthquake Era.

Central Syria Struck by another Earthquake

Luckily, so far the earthquakes striking areas around Syria are at a maximum moderate level, below 5 degrees on the Richter scale hence no nationwide alert, still, these series of earthquakes are worrying especially taking into consideration that Syria falls on the Arab Faultline on which some serious previous earthquakes have destroyed cities in neighboring countries in the past few years.

Central Syria Struck by another Earthquake

The latest earthquake struck near a town in the northern Hama countryside in central Syria, the earthquake recorded 4.5 degrees on the Richter scale and was 10 kilometers deep.

No casualties or damage were reported, however, this earthquake unlike the previous ones was felt across several Syrian provinces including Aleppo, Latakia, Idlib, and Hama itself.

With the USA and its cronies in the NATO 'defensive' alliance continuing their war of terrorism, attrition, and occupation against the Syrian people, the risk of an earthquake's aftermath is increasingly alarming.

There's a vicious cycle of earthquakes recorded over history, the cycle occurs every 240-300 years, in the year 2000, Syria entered the earthquake era.

Another Earthquake Strikes Idlib, Northwest of Syria

A new earthquake struck the northwestern countryside of Idlib province in the northwest of Syria late evening, Monday 19 December, the Syrian National Earthquake Center reported.

Moderate Earthquake of 4.8 Degrees Strikes Northwest of Idlib

The latest earthquake was of a moderate magnitude, 4.8 degrees on the Richter scale, and struck at a 10 kilometers depth, the Earthquake Information site noted, a site that monitors earthquakes around the world.

There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage to properties, and so far none were reported, the area struck by the earthquake is occupied by Al Qaeda terrorists under the protection of NATO's second-largest army, the Turkish army.

Since the year 2000, natural Syria, aka the Levant, entered what geologists call the Earthquake Era as the region falls on the so-called Arab Plate Seismic Fault which stretches from the Anadul in Turkey to Africa through West Asia, a series of earthquakes across this line has been recorded throughout the past 2 decades, most of which were minor to medium and some of them were devastating.

A Minor Earthquake Struck Southern Aleppo Province in Syria

A new minor earthquake struck the southwestern countryside of Aleppo in northern Syria early Sunday, there were no injuries recorded from the tremor that was felt throughout an area of several square kilometers.

Minor Earthquake of 2.8 Degrees Strikes Southwest of Aleppo City

Sunday morning around 8:51 local time, the Syrian National Seismic Center recorded a minor earthquake in the eastern outskirts of a small town called Abezmo, some 19 kilometers to the west of the city of Aleppo.

There were two reported recordings, the Syrian center recorded 3 degrees on the Richter Scale while an earthquake online system said it was only 2.8 degrees.

This latest earthquake occurred about 17 kilometers slightly to the northwest of a previous earthquake that struck the area in September last year, it's also part of several earthquakes intensified in numbers that are hitting West Asia.

In a previous report for Syria News, I quoted a study in the year 2000 by the director of the Syrian National Seismic Center at that time, the study was titled 'Syria Enters the Earthquake Era' and it says that such earthquakes happen in a span of 240-300 years and now it's due.

More in this report with an interactive map I made showing some of the last two years' earthquakes in Syria: Minor Earthquake of 2.8 Degrees Strikes Southwest of Aleppo City.

Syria Entered the Earthquake Era - New Minor Earthquake strikes Northeast

The 'Earthquake era' is a term coined by Dr. Ballani, the former director of the National Seismic Center in Syria in the year 2000 when he was referring to the tectonic changes expected to occur during the foreseen future that time which we are living through now.

Minor Earthquake of 3.4 Degrees Strikes Southeast of Al Hasakah City

A minor earthquake struck about 5 kilometers deep in the ground in the southwestern countryside of the Hasakah province, in Syria's furthest northeast, the quake registered 3.4 degrees on the Richter scale.

This earthquake is one in a series of earthquakes the region witnessed since the beginning of this millennium, as predicted by the former director of the Syrian National Seismic Center, the culprit he referred to is the Arab-African subversive fault that extends from the Iskenderun Strip in the north to the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea and then to the southern outskirts of the African continent with a length ranging between 3-4 thousand kilometers.

Details about this last earthquake and a link to a brief of Dr. Ballani's prediction in this post: Minor Earthquake of 3.4 Degrees Strikes Southeast of Al Hasakah City.

Minor Earthquake Strikes Syrian - Iraqi Borders this Morning

A minor earthquake struck at the Syrian - Iraqi borders in the southeastern Hasakah countryside this morning, Wednesday 10 February 2021.

An earthquake struck the southeast of Hasakah province, in the northeast of Syria, in the morning of Wednesday, 10 February 2021, it’s 3.8 degrees magnitude on the Richter scale.

Earthquake - tremor Richter scale - Syria

The Syrian National Seismic Center said this latest tremor struck at 07:06 am and was 27 kilometers deep at the borders with Iraq.

This is the 6th earthquake to strike Syria in the past couple of months, and the 7th in 5 months. The first earthquake was northeast of Damascus a few minutes after midnight of 27th November, it was of 4.3 degrees magnitude on the Richter scale, and the second earthquake was on the afternoon of 28th of the month, it was of 4.1 degrees on the Richter scale and struck the same site northeast of Damascus.

Syria Enters the Earthquake Era.

Syria Entered the Earthquake Era, and that was already warned of 20 years ago in November 2000 by the Director-General of the Syrian General Organization for Geology and Mineral Resources.

6th Earthquake in Syria in the Past 4 Months

A new earthquake struck in the Idlib province with a magnitude of 4.3 degrees on the Richter scale this afternoon, December 22, 2020.

The earthquake was about 19 kilometers to the southwest of the city of Idlib, 4.3 is considered among the 'light' magnitude of earthquakes, it was 10 kilometers deep, as per the Syrian National Seismic Center.

Earthquake Syria - Idlib - Richter scale

No casualties were reported from the tremor.

Syria is on the Arab-African subversive fault that extends from the Iskenderun Strip in the north to the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea and then to the southern outskirts of the African continent with a length ranging between 3-4 thousand kilometers is a seismic hazard of the second degree and the most dangerous site on this fault is the northern part of the Arab plate, meaning the Syrian lands, specifically the northwestern sides of it from the Iskenderun Strip to the Al-Ghab, then to the Bekaa, Jordan, and Palestine to Aqaba and the Red Sea.’ From our previous report on the topic.

Syria Enters the Earthquake Era: 4th Tremor in 3 Months, the 2nd in 36 Hours

The second earthquake to hit the same site northeast of Damascus in the past 36 hours, this one of 4.1 magnitude on Richter scale, the earlier one was of 4.3 magnitude.

Syria earthquake

The Syrian National Seismic Center recorded an earthquake of 4.1 magnitude on the Richter Scale about 50 kilometers to the northeast of the Syrian capital Damascus at 1:45 pm this afternoon.

Shortly after midnight the day before an earthquake of 4.3 hit the same site, as per the Seismic center.

This comes 3 months after two earthquakes, one struck west of Hama, Central Syria and was of 3.1 degrees on the Richter scale, and another of also 3.1 degrees on the scale to the northwest of Latakia, in the eastern Mediterranean on the Syrian coast.

'Syria has entered the earthquake era', this was a warning of Syria's top geologist back in November 2000, and it's not alone, a 3-4 thousand kilometers long fault is moving.
