A minor earthquake struck at the Syrian - Iraqi borders in the southeastern Hasakah countryside this morning, Wednesday 10 February 2021.
An earthquake struck the southeast of Hasakah province, in the northeast of Syria, in the morning of Wednesday, 10 February 2021, it’s 3.8 degrees magnitude on the Richter scale.
The Syrian National Seismic Center said this latest tremor struck at 07:06 am and was 27 kilometers deep at the borders with Iraq.
This is the 6th earthquake to strike Syria in the past couple of months, and the 7th in 5 months. The first earthquake was northeast of Damascus a few minutes after midnight of 27th November, it was of 4.3 degrees magnitude on the Richter scale, and the second earthquake was on the afternoon of 28th of the month, it was of 4.1 degrees on the Richter scale and struck the same site northeast of Damascus.

Syria Entered the Earthquake Era, and that was already warned of 20 years ago in November 2000 by the Director-General of the Syrian General Organization for Geology and Mineral Resources.
