The explosion was in Karnaz farmlands to the northeast of As Suqaylabiyah city in the northwestern countryside of Hama province.

Doctors at the As Suqaylabiyah Hospital are still treating the injured child in the ICU of the hospital, a local police source stated.

Landmines planted by US-sponsored 'Freedom Fighters' aka Al Qaeda Levant and its affiliates in Syria pose a serious threat to the Syrian people, especially the children and farmers in the villages and towns which were infested by terrorists and liberated by the Syrian Arab Army and its allies.

Thousands of Syrians are killed and tens of thousands injured, many of them children, and injuries from landmine explosions usually cause permanent disabilities like in the case of this child.
