Words Are Weapons Too: A UN Official Exposed What Western Media Hide

Craig Mokhiber, former New York Office Director of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, exposed on X what Western newsrooms and, in extension, Western politicians, intentionally manipulate.

Mokhiber said "The constant sanitizing of language by the corporate Western media, done on behalf of the US-Israel Axis, is simply stunning to watch. The attacks on Iran are not some "war of choice," they are the crime of aggression, full stop. This is exactly the same game we have been documenting here on Syria News since the war of terror on Syria first began, more than a decade and a half ago now.

Language is never innocent in these wars. It is chosen, on purpose, word by word, to launder real crimes into something soft and forgettable for the people back home in the West, the very same people whose tax money is paying for all of it.

We were heavily criticized for years, since the very beginning of the war of terror on Syria, simply for refusing to call the head-chopping terrorists of Al Qaeda and ISIS by the polite name the mainstream media insisted on using for them, "moderate rebels." That was the accepted narrative back then. Anyone who called it what it actually was got labeled "not balanced."

It is the same trick, over and over, in every single one of these wars.

• An illegal aggression becomes a "strike."
• Unilateral sanctions, imposed without any approval whatsoever from the United Nations Security Council, become simple "measures," almost like paperwork.
• And now, a deliberate war of aggression by choice against Iran, which is in fact the highest crime recognized under international law, as it was defined by no one other than the victors of World War II themselves when they wrote the UN Charter, gets softened down into something as forgettable as "tensions in the region."

Mokhiber is completely right to name this for what it is. It is not journalism, it is complicity, and it has been complicity for a very long time now.

Gaza Making it to German Media, Very Shyly!

It took a fringe newspaper in Germany almost two years of an online-streamed genocide to report that there is something wrong going on in Gaza, committed by Germany's parasite, Israel.

Prominent German historian and political analyst Stefan Heuer came across an article in the 'junge Welt' (Young World) newspaper with the striking picture of a Palestinian child suffering from famine, a single article in the entire German media with a side of the reality.

With Allies Like These, Who Needs Enemies?

Remember when Western mainstream media, western officials, and many propagandists were accusing Russia of blowing up its gas pipelines exporting cheap and stable gas to Germany? It's like the lies they kept parroting for 12 years that the Syrian army men are killing their families and the US forces including Al Qaeda, ISIS, Kurdish separatist terrorists, and other head-choppers are in Syria to protect those families.

We became immune from western propaganda from the days of the invasion of Iraq based on the WMDs claimed to be readied to destroy the region and threaten Europe by Iraq back in 2003, the weapons that were never found.

We became further immune from western propaganda when they started reporting on our country, Syria, every single word was a lie, and not any lies, extremely obvious lies that only fools would believe, yet, here we are, 12 years of ongoing lies and millions of people, mainly westerners continue to believe those lies just like how they swallowed that Russia bombed its own infrastructure under the sea.

The rest of the world immediately knew that the USA was behind the blowing up of the two Nordstream pipelines transporting gas from Russia to Germany, the US top officials said they will stop those pipelines, including Biden himself, they immediately expressed their happiness it was bombed, we knew the USA had accomplices with it in this heinous terrorist attack, we didn't know those were multiple countries involved and supposedly, Germany's closest allies.

The USA, UK, Sweden, Norway, and even Denmark participated in blowing up the gas pipelines as exposed by the celebrated investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, with the USA and Norway playing the main role, and the others were supporting actors.

NATO and the European Union became more united, they told us, yeah, obviously.

Australian Professor: Zionist Israel Comparable to Nazi Germany

An interview with prominent Australian historian, geo-political specialist, and university professor Dr. Tim Andersson on the Lebanese TV al Manar in which he compared Israel's policies against the Palestinians to those of Nazi Germany against the Jews was removed from YouTube, or say hidden.

US Politician Joe Biden attacking Gay Marriage!

US politicians are the best example to describe hypocrisy, opportunism, and the behavior of sheer sinister minds in power, Joe Biden spent decades as a policymaker in the USA affecting his country's domestic and foreign policies and progressing in his career not based on moral or humanitarian principles, rather on the evilest ones including flip-flopping on basic laws when he deemed it's in his benefits, gay marriage is one of them.

Thou shalt not commit adultery: The very definition of 'single mothers' has been altered from a woman whose husband is absent because of death or simply fleeing the family to committing adultery to bring bastard children into life out of marriage! Think about it. It's the personal freedom of the individuals to have sex without marriage to the extent they ridicule their teenagers who are still virgins. They're literally destroying the families and promoting policies against the norms of nature, males and females genders.

Thou shalt not steal: Ask the people of the countries invaded by the USA and Britain, and most of the European countries, currently the US army is stealing Syrian oil and wheat, the collective NATO member states are plundering Libya's oil, the US corporations are plundering Iraq's oil after looting dry the country when the USA and the UK invaded it, and count the other countries. How much money from financial scams was run in the west and the scammers were protected by the politicians?

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor: How about fabricating false claims to justify wars, lockdowns, seizure of properties, and all sorts of interventions?

Terrorists Carry out a Mass Shooting in a Residence in Southern Syria Killing Five

Five civilians were killed and others injured when a group of terrorists attacked a residence in the northern countryside of the southern Syrian province of Daraa on Monday, June 27th. Surely, until now you didn't hear of it western mainstream media which shifted focus to Ukraine, and now as Ukraine is losing already, they're dropping that story as well.

Monday's terrorists attack targeted the residence of the director of agriculture in the city of Al-Sanamayn, a small countryside agriculture city in the plains of Houran in southern Syria, and it's harvest time.

Two women and a child were injured in the attack, the terrorists seemed to target a former Baath party official in the town, he holds no current official status which makes the terrorist attack look like a desperate attempt by the US-sponsored remnants of ISIS (ISIL) to remind of their presence in southern Syria.

Upon cleaning the province of Daraa by the Syrian army and its allies, remnants of ISIS fled to an area illegally occupied by the US Army in the Al Tanf area in the depth of the southeastern Syrian desert, from their hideouts under the protection of the US army, these ISIS terrorists carry out their attacks and go back to their bases where the Syrian security and the Syrian army do not trace them to avoid confronting the US-led NATO terrorist-sponsoring evil aggressing alliance.

Syrian President Appoints New Defense Minister

Syrian President Bashar Assad issued a presidential decree appointing a new defense minister, the move was received with much speculation among the camp of the enemies of the Syrian people, those are the NATO spearheaded by the USA, Al Qaeda, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, ISIL (ISIS), and Turkey, why?

It's no secret anymore that the USA has mobilized 85 countries with their full capacity to destroy Syria, at all costs, the contribution from this evil camp depending on the capabilities of each country came in the shape of weapons, soldiers, spying, logistics, media, and actual terrorists, some contributed with all of those like the regime of the Turkish madman Erdogan, others like Qatar (pronounced Gutter), contributed with money along with their Saudi brethren, and loads of money, former Qatari PM said it amounted to 138 billion US dollars by May 2017 and continuing, while others provided only their country as a conduit for the terrorists like Jordan, and so on. As for the USA and major NATO countries, they provided all the support to the terrorists they could including political and media cover.

The Russian special military operation in Ukraine to disarm the country and disinfect it from radicalism (de-nazify), ensuring its neutralism, and more importantly protecting the people of the Donbas from the Zionist Nazi regime in Kiev, this operation has taught those who still didn't know that truth is the first victim in wars.

As Syrians, we have been hardened by 11 years of the onslaught of lies by the western officials and their propagandists in the western mainstream media, they lied about everything, they created stories, they twisted others, and whenever they were busted they never retracted, they simply created new lies and emphasized on them, now discussing the latest appointment of a new minister of defense in Syria.

Enemies of Syria attributed the changing of the Syrian minister of defense to 'failures of the outgoing minister', 'the setbacks of the Syrian armed forces', 'the distrust among the higher ranks of the Syrian officers', others went as far as telling it's about replacing a minister close to Iran with a minister closer to Russia, and so on.

All of those are straight-out lies and can only be believed by the same fools who believed all the previous Pentagon's propaganda to justify its invasions of Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, and elsewhere, who continue to believe the same liars again. In the first paragraph of my report on Syria News, I didn't only refute these lies, I provided the real reason why the Syrian minister of defense was replaced and it's up to the readers to see which makes more sense: the outgoing minister "served in his post for a little over 4 years," those familiar with the developments in Syria know that during his four years of service, the Syrian army liberated Daraa, the so-called 'cradle of the revolution,' the US-led war of terror on Syria, cleared much of southern Idlib, and large areas of land in central and northern Syria.

I also noted that the outgoing minister of defense is 70 years old and was replaced with a little younger minister who is 64 years old.

You can make up your own mind which is more plausible and see how cheap western media and their politicians have become, or how dumb they believe their audience is.

Is Syria Undermining Israel's Security? Beware of Hasbara

There's an official 'state' policy in Israel called Hasbara, if you look it up you'll see it's an implementation to what Orwell described in his famous book 1984, it's mainly around the concept of using lies and deception to whitewash Israel's war crimes and negative image around the world of being a complex of European colonial bloodthirsty settlements of imported European radical settlers and the last apartheid regime in the world on the land of Palestine; at the same time, Hasbara includes demonizing all Israel's enemies, of course, those are the people it stole their land and looking to steal more, and the critics of Israel.

Hundreds of billions of US hard-earned taxpayers' dollars and other dozens of billions of European taxpayers' money in addition to hundreds of billions of US dollars from the Gulfies are spent to build, empower, protect, and defend Israel physically and in media.

Therefore, it's of no surprise to see posts like the questions asked on Quora, the wiki Q & A social media platform, this latest question put in this wording implies that Israel is a legal historic entity which Syria, for no reason, is undermining its security!

I was notified of the question being a member of Quora interested in topics around my country Syria, and I left a short answer which I'm copying here to preserve it from Quora's heavy censorship in topics relating to Israel, remember Hasbra and the cost to maintain it?; and to share the information with the readers of this platform so they won't fall prey to the Israeli Hasbara, the question and my answer to it goes like this:

Q: If Syria recognized Israel and stopped undermining Israeli security would Israel consider returning the Golan Heights to Syria and how likely is such an agreement?

My Answer:
I’m afraid you got the question totally wrong, Syria predates the world in history, let alone predating the latest invention now called Israel, named after the father of biblical prophets and messengers to gain some historical credentials.

When Israel was invented by the British and this is well documented in the so-called Balfour Declaration, a promise by the British government to the Rothschilds to give them land which it didn’t own to settle the Jews in the place where the Palestinians already, this started all the instability and insecurity not only in the Levant but throughout the entire region and way beyond.

The control of the holy land, the sites most sacred for the Christians and second sacred for the Muslims was a British idea for continuous troubles, exactly what the British did in every colony they colonized around the world, they drew borders that crosses ethnic lines, instigated strife among different sects and where there were no other sects it created a new sect like how it created the Muslim Brotherhood doctrine in Egypt, for instance.

The very existence of Israel as a state built on land stolen from the real Semite people, the people of the Levant, and replacing them with imported European and Russian settlers based on their religion, is a constant cause of instability and a major threat to peace that will continue until this historical crime is corrected.

As long as there’s a single Palestinian calling Palestine his home, this struggle will continue to liberate Palestine at all costs, especially that the imported European, Russian, and from elsewhere settlers are committing daily crimes against the remnants of the Palestinians and against the holy places in Al Quds (Jerusalem) and Bethlehem.

Syria will naturally seek to liberate the Golan and will naturally stand by the Palestinians until they liberate their land and restore their rights, all biblical prophecies, the books preserved in the Levant and written before the ones altered in the Medieval days, all these prophecies say that Armageddon will be fought in this area and it’ll be the end of the Jewish presence as a statehood, note how they follow exactly this path to create a separate state for the Jews, they follow the prophecy, the original one, by the word.

One should ask any rabbi, any committed Jewish rabbi why did God prevent them from creating a state for themselves and scattered them among other nations, and why did he punish them each time they did so by the worse punishments? He will quote the Torah telling it’s prohibited for the Jews to create a state for themselves, and creating such a state in Palestine is the perfect challenge for God’s (Yehwa - Allah) will.

Pentagon Lies Getting Exposed One at a Time

A couple of days ago I wrote a short post highlighting a report by an Australian broadcaster discussing what they called the 'biggest media scam of the century' referring to a joint scam by the US Democratic Party and its leaders and a large number of 'Pulitzer Prize' winning mainstream media outlets the New York Times and the Washington Post regarding the Trump's Russia collusion rubbish.

In my previous post, I used the above story which was pushed upon the world's politics for 3 years and now exposed to show that the leading western mainstream media are not to be relied on for reliable news and especially when it comes to their systematic and organized 'collusion' with the Pentagon when the latter targets another country, in my case, Syria.

I also showed how western Sheeple who would attack me and my contributions as they tend to take whatever those same mainstream media outlets say over any other alternative media sources including my own small news site Syria News which I started immediately at the beginning of the US-led war on my country when I saw there's not only lack of real news coming out of Syria in English, there's a systematic internationally-coordinated campaign to fake that narrative to justify a regime change in another country around the world, and enough is enough.

Today, I bring you another story which we reported at the time of happening, another deliberate massacre carried out by the Pentagon killing over 20 civilians in the small Syrian city of Baghuz in eastern Deir Ezzor province on January 19, 2019, almost 3 years ago. It's Not Credible News if It's Not from a Large MSM Source, Yeah Right!

I run a small simple news site "Syria News" focused mostly on my country Syria and been doing so for the past 10 years or more, I came forward due to the lack of credible news been reported in English from Syria and decided on this journey after seeing the massive sheer of lies the western mainstream media was emitting.

I'm not a journalist, never was one, never dreamt of being a journalist or a reporter, it's totally the opposite of my work, I am definitely not a Pulitzer Prize winner, and never thought of achieving anything further than letting the Syrian voices get heard abroad and getting the real narrative out, we've all seen the mainstream media, mainly the 'most esteemed' ones of them how they lied about the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction and never argued the Pentagon narrative, then with simple research discovered that they did the same with every Pentagon's military adventure abroad.

Officials in other countries however criminal and ruthless dictators they are, they are praised by the western MSM, their people who protest against them are the evil ones and largely neglected - Yellow Vests in France send their regards here, while the officials who do not bow to the Pentagon's will, the Pentagon being the beating hand of the 'establishment' that drives from the back seat in the West, those officials who seek independence for their countries are always demonized, their governments are called regimes, they don't have governments or institutions: it's Putin running all of Russia, it's the Bashar Assad regime in Syria and it's Assad forces when talking about the Syrian Arab Army which comprises of mostly conscripts from all over the country, and Fidel Castro is bad and the CIA must be praised for attempting to kill him 600 times! Imagine the intelligence agencies of another country plotting to kill your president!

A Year Ago Terrorists Burned Down 280 Villages in Syria, Yesterday they were Executed

Last year, tens of thousands of families saw their homes, farmlands, livestock, cars, and agricultural equipment burn down in fires, 280 villages in total were set to blaze in 187 fires that started simultaneously in 4 Syrian provinces Homs, Hama, Latakia, and Tartous.

The devastation was enormous on all accounts, the mountains changed their face, and to add salt to the injury, there was no global condemnation as one would expect for such heinous crimes, although the Syrians, in general, would weep when seeing wildfires burning down forests in countries like Australia, the USA, and others who contribute to the killing of the Syrian people.

Over 30 billion Syrian Liras were the estimated losses, it took the fire brigades, the farmers, the Syrian armed forces, with the help of the Russian forces to put down the fires that completely burned down 13,000 hectares / 32,123.7 acres of agricultural lands (more than 11,000 hectares / 27,182 acres of forest lands.

Investigations throughout the past year led to the arrest of 35 terrorists who confessed to their crimes, detailed their days of plotting, and the tools they used were confiscated, 24 of them were executed the day before yesterday, the others received sentences varying from several years to life in prison, now we started hearing the western condemnations, not for the fires, for the 'harsh' punishments of their beloved terrorists!

Western MSM Admit: The Syrian President Assad Won and the US Defeated!

Newsweek, one of the hundreds of the Pentagon's propaganda outlets, came up with a frontpage post titled 'Syria’s Bashar al-Assad returns to the world stage in defeat for US, win for its foes' with a repeated picture of the Syrian President Bashar Assad and repeated 'He's Back' on it.

What's striking is not the western mainstream media admitting, late as usual, the victory of the Syrian President, the title itself reveals a lot. Remember when the war in Syria was a 'civil war' and the 'brutal dictator killing his own people'? The title of the post says clearly the USA was defeated and its foes won.

Of course, most of the western Sheeple will never understand what happened in Syria, they've been bombarded with 24 hours lies about the US-led war of terror against the Syrian people and they never bothered to question the MSM narrative, not this time, not through all the past 10.5 years of the US intervention in this small country on the other side of the planet, not about previous mainstream media lies justifying a US intervention and regime change after the other.

The Ultimate US Double Standards: Taliban and Other Countries

It takes no genius to realize the vile, sinister, and often costly double standards the USA, its propaganda outlets, and its EU minions and other proxies, this is one small example.

First of all, I'm no fan of the Taliban, they do not represent the true Islam, they drifted to the extreme versions of it under influence of extremists funded by the Saudis, the US allies and the largest buyers of US weapons by far.

The nomination raised the prospect that the Taliban — the violent, extremist Islamic movement that retook power last month as the American-backed government collapsed — would occupy an ambassador’s seat at the United Nations.

The Pentagon's propaganda outlet, aka the New York Times, seems to be worried about the ambassador to the United Nations of the former US-backed government in Afghanistan, the government that its own president fled the country with about 65 million dollars in cash as some reported and the government that is no longer in existence, not in any single ministry in the country.

This would have really been a moral issue for the USA except for the following reasons:

1. The Taliban is a US byproduct in Afghanistan.
2. The Taliban have been negotiating power take-over for months with the USA itself.
3. The Taliban not only came to power with the help of the USA, they were also armed by the USA when the latter left them all sorts of weapons and munition to play with.
4. The USA has done exactly what the Taliban is trying to do now in every country it toppled its legitimate government or still trying to topple its government, Gaddafi was still in the Libyan capital when the US paid millions to his ambassador to the United Nations to flip against him and declared him as the only representative of Libya, the same with Yemen, and tried to pull this with Syria and only managed to get it done in the Arab League where Al Qaeda representatives occupied Syria's seat for one summit and then no more.

For the Pentagon to be concerned, through its propaganda outlet, of the Taliban appointing an ambassador for themselves after taking full power in Afghanistan, this is beyond ridiculous, it's disgusting, to say the least.

After 20 years of unjustified illegal invasion and occupation of Afghanistan tainted with massacre after the other and the last was as the US was pulling out slaughtering 7 children and 3 innocent adults, the USA, its officials, and its media should never open their mouths about what is going on or will happen in Afghanistan, the only time they can say something is how much they regret the war crimes they committed in that country, and how much they are planning to pay the Afghani people in compensations? Other than that please USA STFU while your empire sees its final days.

NATO Propagandists Had a Short Excitement Yesterday for a Ship that Caught Fire at a Syrian Port

NATO propagandists were joyful yesterday doing what they know best in fabricating news to suit the warmongering agenda of their war ministries and the evil people running their countries when reports of fire erupted on a ship docking at the Syrian port of Latakia.

First of all, the ship was a Syrian merchant ship that docked at the port for scheduled maintenance, it was empty and it caught fire while the crew was working on its needed repairs, a normal thing that happens all the time around the world.

NATO propagandists, however, saw in it an opportunity at very high tense times to spread panic, instigate military actions and reactions as they started reporting that an Israeli raid on an Iranian oil ship caused the fire, there was no Israeli raid, the ship is not Iranian, and it's a normal cargo ship and not an oil tanker!

Iranian media quickly confirmed the same from their official sources and the NATO propagandists plot was exposed, but that doesn't cause any damage to the already debunked liars, their devoted audiences would believe them even if they report sighting flying elephants on the over the River Thames in London.
