Starting from the Levant and going all the way to China in the east and west Europe in the other direction, this span of dozens of important and influential countries that shaped most of the 'Old World' are affected with the events in Syria, in a positive way especially the outcome of the Russian presence in the country to balance the US's presence directly through its military and indirectly through hundreds of terrorist organizations.

The Head of the Lebanese Al Mayadeen office in Damascus wrote a piece (in Arabic) talking about the importance of the Russian military presence in Syria in addition to the joint plan to circumvent the US and EU inhumane and illegal sanctions imposed on the Syrian state which only adds further suffering on the ordinary Syrians and helps the terrorists.
The following is an excerpt from the post that sums up the importance of the Russian - Syrian military cooperation:
Moscow, and with it Damascus, after five years of the Russian presence in Syria, are aware that the consequences of Russia leaving its political and military position in Syria will be very dangerous for the region, as the Russian presence aims to ensure security and make the world order more just and balanced, as President Al-Assad said. Ankara’s transfer of the militants from the Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaeda groups to the Azerbaijan front, and before it to Libya, is only the first sign of the expansion of the Turkish project in the region after its failure in Syria, and it is the basis of Moscow’s involvement in the Syrian war, and will not allow its transfer to its own walls.
