A Saudi Tries to Drive into Islam's Most Sacred Grand Mosque Masjid Haram in Mecca

A Saudi citizen rammed his car into one of the main gates of the Masjid Haram - the Grand Mosque in Mecca, west of Saudi, the most sacred mosque for Muslims where the Kaaba is at its center.

The Kaaba is where every Muslim face when performing the prayers, 5 times a day, at least. Those are now 1.8 billion Muslims facing Kaaba and the Masjid Haram every single day and more than 5 times a day.

The driver was arrested by the guards, he was heading toward the gate in an attempt that seems to be to enter the main yard of the mosque.

In the 2019 Hajj season (Islam Pilgrimage), 2.5 million Muslims visited Masjid Haram and performed their rituals around the Kaaba.

The attempt was caught on security cameras and the panicked guards are seen rushing toward the driver.
