Calling on Putin to Save Russia's Credibility: Petition to Free Syrian Political Detainees

For over two decades, Russia under President Putin has risen up from the horrible status the dismemberment of the USSR left it in but that was not solely with Russia's own efforts, if it was not for Syria and in particular, for Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad rejection of the Western traps to isolate Russia when it was in its weakest status, and withstanding the enormous pressure with massive sacrifices by the Syrian people, Russia might have been dismembered further into many more republics.

Calling on Putin to Save Russia's Credibility: Petition to Free Syrian Political Detainees

How Russia, especially the Russian presidency under Mr. Putin, paid back Syria or at least stood by Syria when Syria was attacked, and mostly because it refused to isolate Russia, is a cause of shame that will forever stain the views of the Syrian people and many across the planet on Russia.

Russia turned from a leading light of hope supporting countries in the face of Western imperialism into a backstabber, and seller of those same allies who trusted the country with the rich history which was invaded and betrayed by its 'Western partners' repeatedly, turned under the Zionist-leaning Chabad Lubavitch control into an example of betrayal from Iraq to Libya, Venezuela, Syria, and now Iran, also remembering Cuba, and even the people of the Donbas in Ukraine, no good examples.

However, this is a plea to whatever decency is left in the Russian leadership to do the right thing and like how they sold out Syria for cheap to Turkey and for free to Israel, at least save the Syrian officials persecuted by those same terrorists Mr. Putin wanted to 'combat in Syria rather on the streets of Moscow or St. Petersberg' as he justified Russia's interference in Syria in late September 2015.

You might think the criticism of Russia in the Petition I wrote is a bit harsh, trust me, it's not even scratching the surface of the betrayal the Syrian people are feeling, who not only lost hundreds of thousands of their relatives, had their coutnry destroyed, and millions maimed and displaced in the 13.5 years of war against the same terrorists that Mr. Putin wanted to combat, they continue to face persecution and massacres on daily basis.

The Petition, should you feel humane and help spread, hoping it'll reach Mr. Putin eventually and not too late: A Petition to Russian President Putin Regarding Syria.

No More Grand Mufti in Syria, It Was a Mistake and Now Corrected!

The news of abolishing the post of Grand Mufti in Syria was shocking to the majority of the Syrians, mostly because of Mr. Badreddine Hassoun, the incumbent of the post is widely respected and beloved among all Syrians including non-Muslims Syrians because of his humble personality, vast knowledge, and sermons with profound messages touching their hearts, it wasn't about Mufti Hassoun.

Some of the Ottoman Sultans - some of the worst war criminals history told about
Some of the Ottoman Sultans - some of the worst war criminals history told about

During the rules of the Ottomans, the most hated bloodthirsty dynasty to rule large areas of the region, one of their bloodiest Selim I introduced the role of Mufti, a person who would issue religious judicial opinions and who wouldn't dare to oppose the Sultan and would have to justify his doings, whatever he did.

The Wahhabis, the NATO-styled version of Islam followed by the Saudis and Qataris, and the Muslim Brotherhood, an anti-Islamic clan created by the British about a century ago, have taken the fatwas to the extreme and emptied the Islamic teachings from their peaceful messages in order to satisfy the agendas of the British and the US in its wars against Islam, turning the powers of the scholars against fellow Muslims and painting a grim picture of the peaceful religion. From these two sects, the Wahhabis and Muslim Brotherhood (the religion of the Turkish madman Erdogan) came the Al Qaeda and ISIS terrorists.

This was carried on until our current days. In Islam, there's no such thing as religious authority, scholars base their knowledge on the Quran, the Hadiths (the Prophet's sayings), and the opinions of other scholars, they must be abreast with the Arabic language to understand the more proper meanings of the Quran verses, and the scholars must be knowledgeable in the topics they issue their Fatwas about, the judicial non-compulsory opinions, people would consult these scholars on what they have learned if a matter arises and which they couldn't find a proper solution for.

Instead of a single person, Syria already had a council for issuing the fatwas, there were 4 Muftis for Damascus alone, they convene and discuss the matters at hand and should come up with an agreed solution based on the principles of Islam. However, this is now no more and a religious council representing all the Muslims has been formed and is replacing the Mufti's role thanks to a new legislative decree by President Assad.

A controversy immediately aroused after issuing the decree especially that it came right after the mandate of Grand Mufti Hassoun expired raising speculations about it, this is what I wrote about in my latest post on Syria News: Syria Abolishes the Position of ‘Mufti’, an ‘Un-Islamic Ottomans Invention’.

Terrorists Assassinate Damascus Mufti and Islamic Top Scholar Muhammad Adnan Afyouni

An explosion killed the Muhammad Adnan Afyouni, the Mufti of Damascus and its Countryside provinces yesterday evening in the city of Qudsaya, west of Damascus.

An IED - Improvised Explosive Device or a bomb - was planted and detonated in the car of one of the leading and revered Islamic scholars Muhammad Adnan Afyouni, his preaching for tolerance, reconciliation, and peace earned him the hatred of NATO terrorists, namely the anti-Islamic Muslim Brotherhood groups which Turkish Erdogan is their political leader.

The Syrian authorities are not releasing much info as their investigations are ongoing starting with the moment of the explosion, it's not rare to target Muslim clerics in Syria by the radical terrorists brainwashed by NATO and its stooges, a number of Islamic top scholars were killed, one of who was the world's top scholar Mahammad Saeed Ramadan Bouti who was killed in a mosque while studying the Holy Quran with 51 of his students all of them were also killed by a suicide bomber who was executing a fatwa - an Islamic judicial opinion - issued by Qaradawi, the religious leader of the Muslim Brotherhood who lives in Qatar under the protection of the US's largest military base in the Gulf.

Other known members of the Muslim Brotherhood cult is Ayman Zawahri, the current leader of Al Qaeda, if you can connect the dots.

No condemnations will come from western countries, don't count on it, NATO member states and their allies are too much involved in creating and arming these terrorist groups they won't condemn themselves.

More details about yesterday's assassination of Damascus Mufti Muhammad Adnan Afyouni in this report: Damascus Mufti Muhammad Adnan Afyouni Assassinated in a Car Bomb.

LA Times Reporter in Beirut Tells How Aleppo Mufti Died, The Way She Deemed Sutiable

In Syria we should pray to God to delay the deaths planned for the time being until the unrest in the remote suburbs is over, otherwise whoever dies would raise a doubt that the Bashar himself has killed him!

The 77 years old, yes SEVENTY SEVEN years old mufti after delivering his Friday sermon went home then felt some chest ache, he was taken to the hospital and underwent a surgical operation and died a couple of days afterwards, does that sound strange?

Now to the schizophrenic reporting: "Plainclothes pro-government security forces attacked mourners, and mourners and activists calling for an end to President Bashar Assad's regime."? Say what?

First of all how did the Beirut based reporter know that those wearing plaincloth are security forces? Then pro-government security forces? Since the beginning of the riots in Syria in March we never heard of anti-govt security forces to have pro-govt security forces, the reporter went wild in the imagination here. Mourners and activists calling for an end to President Bashar Assad's regime, during the burial procedures? of a Mufti? Excuse me, I never heard a burial ceremony protesting against the regime, the family of the dead person would definitely not want to turn the respected burial ceremony into a circus.. Unless again some weak personalities want to take advantage of any gathering even if it was a burial.

The reporting in Beirut tries to imply that the mufti was afraid of a visit of security forces personnel because of his sermon, well just some inquiries:
- Source of the visit news? Local Coordinators of Chaos? I wouldn't believe rioters as reliable information source.
- Were the security personnel who visited the mufti wearing plain cloth or uniformed?
- As we know that the mufti is the one responsible of other mosques in his jurisdiction, would he fear consequences of his own sermon?
- The mufti had previous much harsh criticism to almost everything wrong in the Syrian life, from holes in the streets, to people spitting on the streets, to criticizing the regime during his 40 plus years of public service, he never feared a couple of visiting security officers.. very unlikely.

Aniseh doubts that the govt had something to do with his death, wait a second.. Who is Aniseh? oh yes, you said, she's a 45 years old mother of 5, and she's a credible source, because Aniseh is well known in the Aleppo society of 6 million not to lie before.

Shall I continue? Why not, today Wednesday evening Addounia TV aired 2 interviews with 2 of the late mufti brothers, whom both in their late something and both individually confirmed the story of admitting to hospital, having a cardiology failure with similar nature to their father's cause of death.

So what? He was a critic to the regime, even if he dies of natural cause the regime is behind his death.. Because the reporter is of a known anti-Syrian stance linked to the "Fourteenies" the ousted Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri bloc, who lost his inherited Premiership in a civilized democratic way but can't get over it.

If late Salkini can stir more unrest in Aleppo, he could have done that in the past 6 months and not after things are calming now in general and the pockets left have switched to armed gangs which is denounced by Islamic Sharia in general and in particular.

The rest of the blog is speculations and general news of a copy and paste nature from other news articles.
