The Syrian sports Phoenix is rising to victory. Professional athletes are winning a competition in swimming and bench pressing — as Damascus & several other cities hold a popular Syria al-Salam marathon.

Syria al-Salam (Peace) Marathon kicked off simultaneously in the cities of Latakia, Tartous, Aleppo, Homs, Sweida and Hama with wide participation of youth, athletes, artists, and media personalities.
