What's the hysteria about Ivermectin?

Ivermectin has come under new massive attack in news, by lobbying groups and various experts since the report of an Arkansas physician successfully prescribing it in his private practice and to his incarcerated patients. Previously the drug had come under attack by Merck, whose patent for it expired in 1999 and which has recently received millions from the US government to develop a patented antiviral for COVID, with properties similar to ivermectin.

Ivermectin is considered a "wonder drug" and many physicians around the world have claimed using it successfully to treat their COVID patients.

It is an anti-parasite drug that has prevented blindness and other physical disabilities in tropical countries for decades. These same countries have the lowest C19 death rates in the world, and the National Institute of Health, overseen by Dr. Fauci published a report, "Covid 19 and the African Enigma" on this surprise.

Ivermectin has been shown to also have antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties.

But since it's now generic it's cheap competition against costly trial medicines, and so it's being demeaned as a horse dewormer.

The AMA and two pharmacy lobbies (pharmacists aren't allowed to practice medicine in the US) have issued a joint condemnation of using ivermectin for C19. They all just happen to have Merck and other pharmaceutical giants among corporate sponsors.

Syrian Doctors Perform Paraganglioma Resection Despite US Sanctions Successfully and Miraculously

Syrian doctors have performed a paraganglioma resection, miraculously, and despite inhumane western sanctions. A medical team at the Al Basel Hospital in Tartous successfully removed a neuroendocrine tumor from a 41-year-old woman. Schauki Mahmoud led the 5-1/2 hours procedure during which the 9 x 7.3 x 6.5 centimeter mass was completely excised, despite adherence to the duodenum, and being precariously close to the aorta.

SANA recently interviewed lead surgeon, Dr. Mahmoud (English, and Arabic). He described the young patient who presented with “left flank discomfort” and whose only significant past medical history included three years of anxiolytics for management of panic attacks accompanied by headaches and palpitations, including bouts of tachycardia (a rapid heart rate, though in normal sinus rhythm).

Medical Science under Dictatorship: COVID-19 Must Not Open Door to Euthanasia

Syria News makes available Dr. Leo Alexander’s full paper on Medical Science Under Dictatorship which was originally published in The New England Journal of Medicine, July 1949. Given the media and politicians on both sides of the Atlantic are attempting to use the COVID-19 pandemic as a foot-in-the-door to the legalization of euthanasia via fear tactics of scarce medical equipment, his words must be brought to the public’s attention. In one of his last interviews, Dr. Alexander reaffirmed the moral imperative that medicine and society should never again be permitted to deem there is such a thing as “life not worthy to be lived.” He was in a nursing home at that time.

In this alarming 1949 article, Leo Alexander examines the horrific crimes committed by Nazis in Germany and explains their shocking relevance to our modern society. He lists the gruesome atrocities committed by Nazis to eliminate the “useless” members of society – those with incurable mental or physical illnesses. The accounts are so horrific that one wonders how the Germans could have arrived at such a bleak state of moral numbness. Alexander argues that it all began with the belief that there is “such a thing as life not worthy to be lived.” Doctors began to ask the question: are those with chronic illnesses worth the cost and trouble of treatment that may prove hopeless? Alexander claims that the medical community in America has already begun to ask a similar question. Doctors are losing interest in people with chronic illnesses, and often consider it more worthwhile to treat people who can be healed and restored to a normal (useful) life in society. Alexander reminds us, “Corrosion begins in microscopic proportions.” While this may seem to be a fairly harmless attitude at first, ultimately it will be destructive of society and even self. The only life-preserving, sustainable attitude is one that cares for every suffering individual, regardless of his chance of being healed.
