How Can 8 Million Citizens Slip into Poverty in the Country that Spends a Trillion Dollars on Wars?

The New York Times is carrying the findings of two studies about spending 2 trillion US dollars for 'care' and still be short of more while the impact is still negative?

Besides, isn't the US Pentagon's budget the highest in the world, to the extent it's more than the next 10 countries combined?

And who are the US enemies? The only time we knew of someone attacking the USA as per US official records were a group of unarmed men from a group a US agency created, that's the al-Qaeda created by the US's own CIA, so who are the US's enemies that needs that much of spending to the extent the US citizens are sacrificing their livelihood for?

Name a country that did attack the USA, or name a country that the USA didn't interfere in one way or another?

Thank God I'm not a US citizen, let alone not a US taxpayer funding the US spending on destroying the lives of tens of millions of people around the world on the account of destroying the lives of its own as well.
