Hundreds of dead and injured in the Lebanese capital Beirut today after a massive explosion blew up in the city's main harbor. Material damage is overwhelming.
Hazardous material confiscated and stored for long in the port blew up after a series of fires in a nearby fireworks warehouse at the Wharf 12 of the Lebanese main harbor.
The wharf disappeared under sea, wheat silos destroyed and the wheat spilled inside the sea, the explosion was heard as far as in Cyprus and at the borders with Syria. Many people trapped under the rubble in the site of the explosion and throughout the city. Ships docked at the port caught fire and many people injured onboard.
