Syrian President Bashar Assad held a lengthy summit with Russian President Putin in Moscow yesterday, though planned for ahead the visit itself was unannounced for security reasons.
President Assad was accompanied by a delegation of Syrian officials who held parallel talks with their Russian counterparts.

Combatting terrorism sponsored by some countries in the world in Syria has saved lives not only in Syria and Russia but also innocent lives in countries around the world, terrorism does not recognize political borders,' Assad told Putin at the beginning of the summit.
