We do not ban words - the notes are a reflection of a live editorial discussion about how to report the latest developments on this story.

Indeed, on 13 February as the details of Abu Qatada’s release from Long Lartin jail unfolded, our coverage did include the term “extremist”, among others terms, on the News Channel, on radio and online, for example:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-17012448.

We hope this allays any concerns you may have had, and please be assured your complaint will be added to our audience log, a daily report of audience feedback that's made available to many BBC staff, including members of the BBC Executive Board, channel controllers and other senior managers.

The audience logs are seen as important documents that can help shape decisions about future programming and content.

Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.
Kind Regards
BBC Complaints
www.bbc.co.uk/complaints

NB This is sent from an outgoing account only which is not monitored. You cannot reply to this email address but if necessary please contact us via our webform quoting any case number we provided."

Who is Abu Qatada? What's the connection with the complaint I sent them? Are they dumb or thinking people are dumb?

Yet another proof that BBC is a complicit in the media war on Syria.Arabi Sourihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07015340728887241778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1050391843893043545.post-45241807512752889292012-02-07T17:59:23.341+01:002012-02-07T17:59:23.341+01:00The terrorist must have planned the whole scenario...The terrorist must have planned the whole scenario from Syria, sending him to UK to spread the lies. They alerted the BBC to his arrival, or why would they have been there waiting for him? How was he allowed back into Syria or did the BBC smuggle him back in. Like the story on the BBC showing the reporter helping the terrorist smuggle arms into Syria and then filming him while he started firing at a Syrian soldier. How can the British Government even contemplate allowing a reporter invading another country and firing at the armed forces. Oh sorry!! I forgot, the British are used to doing that sort of thing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
